"Ecological restoration in the mangrove ecosystem in the area surrounding the center of communication and conservation culture (CCCC), Jaina Island, through the use of hydrodynamic circulation models in the municipality of Hecelchakán, Campeche on 600 ha. STAGE I"

The purpose of the project was to establish ecological restoration measures for the mangrove ecosystem degraded by the construction of a rustic road and natural events; located adjacent to Isla Jaina, in the Los Petenes Biosphere Reserve, Campeche. The restoration is carried out through hydrological management, through the application of hydrodynamic models and the chemical analysis of the interstitial water (water quality) to guarantee the hydrological permanence and the recovery of the vegetal cover (through afforestation of A. seedlings . germinans on artificial platforms constructed with material extracted from artificial channels and lagoons, as well as the stimulation of natural regeneration).
